Dog pees in front of you - It's the puppy's way of showing deference to you, recognizing you as the leader. It's kind of gross, and it give you a mess to clean up, but take it for what it is: a sign of respect.
Dog yawns after you - A study from Japan and results from the Dognition citizen-science project both show that dogs yawn contagiously, and dogs that are bonded with people are more likely to yawn when they do.
